Mary Ann's Story
Life
Met Richard Barranger while involved in Community Theatre productions. He was an up and coming actor/director, I, a chorus pony. Married in 1977, we have 6 children, 5 boys and a girl. (Terence J. (TJ) our oldest graduated from the "New BR West" HS in 1996. He is director of a Barbershop Chorus in Maryland married and father of one boy; then there are Ian, Eric,Brendan,Lauren,and Eddie who all graduated from Immaculata.
Richard gave up acting/directing around 1990 and retired from the UMD-NJ in Newark in 2009. We moved to Seaside Park shortly thereafter to the home where I hosted our 1969 Graduation Beach Party.
I used to be Tech Associate for the old Bell Labs, then for the defunct ADR, then as a consultant for discontinued Sycom Systems at AT&T. Decided I better quit. While at home with the kids I became a Mary Kay Independant Beauty consultant and continue to build my business ...Expand for more
in Seaside Park. In the summer of 2007 I went to school to obtain my NJ Life Insurance License and service clients of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association Branch 185 which my late grandmother and mother managed for over 60 years.
I'm still dancing and performing in Theatre Productions, Studio shows and doing TV and movie "EXTRA" work for Cable and feature films. My most recentl endeavor was in 2011 as an "Extra" with Robert DeNiro and Brandon Cooper in The Silver Lining Play Book which will be in theatres in Autumn 2012.
In 2019 I got my license to teach Zumba and Silver Sneakers “Boom” classes. I now teach daily classes in Seaside Park and tap dance in Nursing homes and Assisted Living Complexes with the “CalendarGirls” Senior Dance Troupe in Ocean/Monmouth County NJ.
With my Mary Kay I am available to make you look and feel special. As a performer I hope to make you smile!
